How to promote flyers and post cards?

Can you answer ruth's question about printing?:

I was promoting a product, I was doing google ad words, But that did not help much. I want to start banners or cards. How do I do that, like where is good place/ cheaper to print, where and how to distribute. Do post offices distribute, how much do they charge?

I highly doubt the post office will distribute fliers for you, but it never hurts to ask! VistaPrint online is a tool I've used to create lots of copies for cheap before, and if you're interested in online e-newsletters to help your promote I like Constant Contact.

Also, have you thought about seeing if some local businesses will help you out by putting your fliers in the bags they give to their customers? i.e. grocery stores, book stores, etc.

You can make promotional cards or flyers to be distributed through the post office. But it does cost. Just contact your local Postal Bulk Mail Center for information. Here is there website that has all the BMC listings in the US:

I have been using Reduced Printing for wholesale printing prices. They print full color postcards and mailers (for the club I work at) and brochures-menus for the restaurant I work at part-time.

As far as distribution, for the club, we tend to do a lot of hand-to-hand distribution (the owners hire a few college students to take care of it)

The restaurant tends to insert the menu into the local newspaper.

One thing the restaurant has done once before for mailings to save was share the cost of the mailing with a church that was using them for catering services. I know the cost of mailings went up, but last time it was around 22 cents per piece (bulk rate)
