Do I have to have a fax number on a business card?

Can you answer yoda lover's question about printing?:

I am a doctoral candidate and currently completing my pre-doctoral internship. I am having some business cards printed up to help with networking and my job search.

My university is in Florida and I am currently working in Illinois on internship. Does a business card have to have a fax number? I am rarely at one place long enough to receive a fax?

No you do not have to have your fax number on your card. But you were sayign you aren't in a place long enough to receive a fax? If you really need to be able to receive faxes, there is a company called pfax (packetel)..They will receive faxes for you and send them to your e-mail..I have to have it..I must be able to receive faxes anywhere I go..Hope this helps!! By the way..my business card only has my office and cell phone.

~~No it is not required. You would need a stable email account and you need to put that on there as well as a phone number for contacting.~~

Only put it on the card if you find people often calling to ask What is your fax number?..
