can i use true type font (good ones from linotype etc.) for commercial printing?
Can you answer Suddha Satta R's question about printing?:
I heard that service bureuaus don't like true type fonts? They tend to prefer type 1. Is it true?

Years ago, that might have been an issue.
But a good service bureau or printer can get anything to work.
But as RIPs have gotten better, they are able to handle a wider variety of fonts.
If you do your form in a real desktop application such as Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, etc, you can make a hi-res pdf file out of it.
Also if using Illustrator, you can outline your fonts, and then you wont have the font issue.
Just stay away from the "10,000 fonts for $1" type CDs from Wal-Mart! Totally useless.
