Want to start my own screen printing business, any suggestions on where I could start?

Can you answer rnlaxtn17's question about printing?:

I have been researching a lot about screen printing industry and am chalking out a business plan in my head and will put it all in writing soon here.

With all the variables which include equipment, supplies, space, the know how, product (idea to sell) marketing and finding the right costumers.

I am looking for any suggestions. Thanks and have a great day.

I am considerig the same thing. I know someone that is doing well, but his wife has a graphics arts background. Get this: they work 2 wkends a month average at shows. sell from home on EBay, YOu will need the softwarew, and find out just what people want. Her also does car graphics and t shirts. Id be interested in keeping up w/ your ideas.

Figure out who your customer is! If you're focusing on sports teams or groups that want large amounts of shirts that say the same thing then you have a completely different business than selling a custom of a family photo for birthdays you have a totally different customer.

Set a date of when you are going to do things such as buy the press and launch the business. (do it right now, before you read another word).

Keep setting goals for yourself that you write down and you are good to go.

Once you know who your customer is, go out and ask them what they want, and always keep asking.

If the photo idea sounds good to you and you need a photo scanner, let me know I have one I bought for a restoration business that I never used with ICE technology.
