What does camera-ready mean?

Camera-ready is a term which describes to the
process of preparing and organizing
publication materials to be shot using a
camera or other related devices. It is then
submitted for plate making.
With the advent of technology,
camera-ready can be reproduced through inkjet
or laser print-outs.
