Poster Printing in a Digital Realm

By Jinky C. Mesias

I can still recall my school days- the proms, the concerts and many other activities that teenagers love to do. Events during those days are announced through the use of posters. Poster making contests are also very popular. Students are called to show case their creativity by means of creating a poster. The winning poster will then be placed in an exhibit during the duration of the school event. The traditional way of making posters are applicable to small-sized activities and events like school proms or school concerts.

But how about big-scale advertising endeavors like promoting products and services of companies? Do you think that traditional made posters will be effective in promoting companies products and services in a much larger market? The traditional way of making poster may entail personal touch and may exude the creativity of its artist but if a company requires lets just say 10,000 posters having exactly the same prints and needed within a week, do you think that an artist may be capable of finishing 10,000 posters in 1 week? Preposterous, dont you think.

But with the use of advance printing technology like digital printing, poster printing by hundreds or even by thousands or more is no longer a case of impossibility. Digital printing has made poster printing easier and faster. Likewise, the created poster posses much vivid colors as well as better quality of prints. There are also no needs for plates as well as big bulky presses that are very complicated to use. Digital printing has also offered a much faster turn-around time when it comes to producing bigger volumes of print outputs. The additional set up cost usually incurred with the use of plates are eliminated thus businesses tend to save more in choosing digital printing for their poster printing needs.

Digital printing is also very affordable compared to the conventional printing methods. Since the digital printing process forego certain processes or methods that usually goes with conventional printing. Like the use of plates, films as well as the great cost that goes with machine set-up. Digital printing technology has also the capacity to incorporate various designs in a single printing job.

Digital printing is also very flexible since it does not set a minimum printing requirement unlike the traditional printing method. Digital printing has also the capacity to print various designs in a single printing project. And to further ensure the quality of your printed posters, always take your printing projects to quality printers which means printers that are known for having a good track record when it comes to poster printing.
