Important Terms involved in Flyer Printing

Are you finding it hard to understand every printing terms used in flyer printing? Does this confusion make choosing the proper process/service difficult for you?

Well, in this article, I will try explain the common terms used in flyer printing.

Lets begin with flyer printing; this is the reproduction of handouts, which are mostly used for marketing and advertising campaigns. Flyer printing involves the use of many different printing processes. Among which include:

* Digital printing - this is the process that involves the use of digital technology. This means that most of the printing machines used for this printing process are connected to computers. This process has lower or no errors at all. It can also provide faster and sharper flyer prints. This process also allows on-demand printing.

* Offset printing - this is a process is known as a traditional process. This process has proven its worth to the printing industry by providing high quality printed materials and among these materials includes flyers.

* Color printing - this is a process of putting and using different colored inks on a printing media. This printing method is a good way to create flyers with magnificent colors that will attract your target audience.

* Wholesale printing - this is a process that will allow you to print large numbers of flyer prints without having any difference between each print.

* Short run printing - is a process that will allow you to print small quantities of flyers. Using this process is a wise idea if you dont need thousands of flyer prints.

These are the basic processes you can hear and read when flyer printing is the topic.

Another term often used in flyer printing is known as 'flyer printing media'. The printing media, also known as printing paper is where the flyer layouts are being printed. There are many types of printing papers used today.

However, among the most ideal printing mediums for flyer printing are high gloss and matte. These types of papers allow easier ink penetration, which in turn, make the inks stay on these papers longer.

'Printers' is another term used in flyer printing, which is also known as printing machines. Basically, printers are output devices that put inks on papers. There are basically two kinds of printers and these include inkjet printers and laser printers. Inkjet printers are machines that uses and squirt liquid ink to print on papers. Laser printers, on the other hand, are machines that use laser to produce images on a light-sensitive drum.

Other Terms include discount printing and cheap printing. These two are commonly known as printing services, which can help you lessen your printing expenses.

As of now, more and more flyer printing terminologies will be emerging. This is usually due to the continuous advancements being made in science. Be sure to know more about them to be able to help you have more ideas about printing.
