By Florante Chok Cay

Its amazing how far man has come with regards to printing technology. As time goes by, printing evolves into a much better technology. With the recent developments made in printing, document production is now easier and much faster. Many printing processes have emerged over the years to make this happen.

Among these printing processes include variable data printing. So, whats so good about this printing process? What makes it ideal for printing your documents? What makes it different among the other printing processes?

To answer these questions, you will need to understand what variable data printing is. Now, variable data printing, also identified as variable information printing, is a type of digital printing process. This involves a process wherein a user puts variations between each printed document without having the need to stop or to decrease the speed of the machines.

When using this type of digital printing process, usually that would mean that a user can make differences from one printed copy to another without delaying the work. Variable data printing allows for more versatile type of production. This is ideal for making postcards, greeting cards and newsletters.

Why?

Well, this is ideal for printing these documents because most of the time these needs variations. With variable data printing, you can change the name and address for each of your postcard, greeting card or newsletter. However, you can also use this printing process for producing brochures, posters and other documents if a user wants to put variations between them.

In some ways, variable data printing is just like other printing processes.

Like digital printing, this printing process is also able to provide fast results. The printing machines used for this printing process is almost the same as the ones that are being used for digital printing process.

This printing process also allows for color reproduction. It can create prints that contain well saturated colors that make the product design or layout look more beautiful and alive.

Variable information printing is also able to print accurate and detailed copies of your documents. Most of the printing machines used for this process can allow high quality reproduction of images and layouts with resolutions of about 300dpi or even higher.

Customized prints are also available when using this printing process. it provides many tools for personalizing you postcards, business cards, greeting cards and other documents.

However, in a sense, this printing process is unique because no other process can provide such versatility as this one can.
